Hello, I'm Phil, an electrical engineering major at the University of Maryland. I love learning, spending time with friendsand family, sports (especially football and basketball) and all kinds of music. In my time at Maryland I have been surrounded by great friends and peers, but many of them are not educated on the risks of using prescription stimulants to study. When I first noticed people using, I inquired as to how it worked, why people used it, the side effects etc., but all I was told was that it would keep you awake, focused, and kill your appetite. Surprsied that people would take a drug with limited knowledge on it, I was inspired to research the effects of these drugs. It is my hope that those who abuse or know someone who abuses prescription stimulants will read this and spread the word of the unkown risks many people are taking when they "pop an addy."
